DRR experience sharing meeting for GRCS branches

On 18-19 February 2016, in the framework of the project “Building Safe and Resilient Communities” (BSRC), Georgia Red Cross Society (GRCS) organised experience sharing meeting in Bakuriani, which was attended by the GRCS branch staff and volunteers from the five target municipalities of BSRC II programme – Sagarejo, Telavi, Kvareli, Lagodekhi and Akhmeta, all of them located in the Eastern Kakheti region of Georgia.

The purpose of the meeting was to share disaster risk reduction knowledge and experience among the branches. During the meeting participants presented best practices and lessons learnt, discussed existing challenges and ways how to respond to them.
The meeting was a great opportunity for branch representatives to evaluate their work, identify the strengths and weaknesses of the branches and plan phase II activities of the project “Building Safe and Resilient Communities”.
